Susan Sagherian was born in Zürich in 1963. She holds a degree as a gemmologist and diamond expert from the "Deutsches Gemmologisches Institut" in Idar-Oberstein (Germany).

Over the last twenty years, Susan has gathered ample experience in the jewellery business. She has worked in sales of loose gemstones, jewellery and watches for "Les Ambassadeurs", one of the leading retail chains dealing in jewellery and watches. After that she worked as a diamond trader before joining Furrer-Jacot, a major jewellery and wedding bands manufacturer in Switzerland. In this position, Susan was responsible for a number of product lines as well as for the procurement of gemstones.

In 1996, Susan Sagherian established CONCEPT DESIGN, a company specialising on trend research and providing services to the jewellery, watch and luxury industries. She advises companies in Europe and in the Americas and holds seminars for individuals, major companies and trade associations. Susan  is a free-lance journalist for a number of trade magazines world-wide and publishes her own publication about trends in the jewellery industry.

Susan currently lives near Zürich in Switzerland.
